Biography
Was born in Kingston,
Jamaica. Son of Norman and Aida Elliot. He studied
in Kingston College, where began in Athletics as a 10 years old, Philander-Smith
College, Université de Bruxelles and University of the West Indies.
Vice President of Jamaica Sport Medicine
Association, member of panel of physicians of JAAA, President of CACAC Medical
Committee, member of IAAF and NACAC Medical Committee. In various capacities, as
Jamaica’s Team Manager and or Team Physician, he has gone to several
international competitions, from 1979.
Awarded Order of Distinction in the rank of
Commander in 1997, the IAAF 75th Anniversary Award in 1997; Pan
American Health Organization awarded for his efforts to promote “Tobacco Free
Sports”. He was given the IOC Medal for his contribution to Boys Championships
in Jamaica.
He is married to his wife Rita, and they both
have a daughter, Stephanie. |

Datos biográficos
Nació en Kingston, Jamaica. Hijo de Norman y Aida Elliot. Estudió en el Kingston
College, donde comenzó en el Atletismo, a los 10 años, el Philander-Smith
College, la Université de Bruxelles y la Universidad de West Indies.
Es Vicepresidente de la Asociación de Medicina Deportiva de
Jamaica, miembro del panel de médicos de la JAAA, Presidente del Comité Médico
de CACAC, miembro del Comité Médico de la IAAF, del Comité Médico de NACAC.
Desde 1979 ha sido Médíco y/o Manager de Jamaica en competencias
internacionales.
Recibió la Orden de la Distinción en el rango de Comandante en
1997; en 1987 fue premiado por la IAAF con motivo de su 75 Aniversario; la
Organización Panamericana de la Salud lo reconoció por la promoción del programa
“Deporte libre de tabaco”. El COI le entregó una medalla por su contribución a
los campeonatos infantiles en Jamaica.
